Question Single User Mode and Bluetooth Keyboard Issues

Good morning from Miami, everyone!

I've been curious about this one for some time. For those of you with the Apple Bluetooth Keyboard and Mouse, have you had issues using those peripherals when booting into Single User Mode?

Reason I'm asking is because I sometimes go into Single User Mode to run disk repairs on the hard drive. Since you can't do it when booted into the Finder, I go about it this way. I'm not exactly sure if I can use the Disk Utility in the 10.4.2 discs that shipped with my iMac G5 on a hard drive that's running the latest Mac OS (10.4.6 currently). Of course, once I'm in the prompt in Single User Mode the keyboard doesn't respond. I'm assuming that maybe the "driver" for the Bluetooth support isn't loaded in Single User Mode, preventing me from using my keyboard.

Have any of you with these keyboards had this problem? Is there any way to solve this or am I relegated to getting a USB keyboard just for this?

Thanks in advance.

I've just stumbled upon this problem with my iMac G5, running OS X 10.3.9!
I too only have a bluetooth keyboard.

During boot-up, she hangs at "waiting for printer services". On another thread I've read, going into single-user mode and running 'fsck' should help out. But how do I get there with the wireless?!
I manage to get the keyboard going when starting up into "open firmware", but sofar that has brought no solution...

Help!

Red face update

I stand corrected!
I managed to get into single-user mode with the wireless (D-link BT dongle). But once there, the keyboard doesn't work

I then rebooted, started up in 'safe boot' (shift-key depressed), but it still hangs on "waiting for printing services"

Somebody, help!?

P.S. I plugged in a keyboard too (with a ps/2-USB converter), but that doesn't work either...
