| networked printing problem [mac to mac] How can I get my Mac to print to a shared HP DeskJet 5700? The sharing computer is a G5 running OS 10.4.6 and has the USB connected printer. The networked computers are a G4 powerbook running 10.4.6, the G5 and a PC running windows xp. The printer is shared correctly because the PC is able to print through the G5. However, the powerbook G4 cannot print. The shared printer is visible to the G4 but clicking "print" on the dialog box has no effect (the dialog box stays open until you click "cancel"). M |

| I used to be able to print a while ago using the same setup and computers but the issue didn't conincide with 10.4.6 release. It is possible that this happened with a previous OS update or other change (i.e. printer was changed), but since the PC can print it leads me to believe there is a mac problem. |
