dvd burner error message

when using toast, i get this error message -

The drive reported an error:
Sense Key = HARDWARE ERROR
Sense Code = 0x44, 0xD9
INTERNAL TARGET FAILURE

I also get a similar message when trying to burn thru the OS.

Can you burn at 1x speed? Do you have the latest drivers?

My dvd burner was shipped with my G5

PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-107D

I get the error message before it starts burning. No i can't burn at 1x. And as far as I know it's fully supported by apple (no other drivers).

Also, I've tried using 3 different brands of blank dvd-rs

I am having the same trouble, and I am also using a G5 and a Pioneer drive.

Tried several brands of dvd-rw and dvd-r, but nothing seems to work!

My Mac: Macbook 2.4 Ghz Intel Core Duo, 4 GB 667 Mhz DDR2 SDRAM, 800MHZ Board

My System: Mac OSX Leopard 10.5.3 with the last Updates!

My DVD Burner Drive:

Burning possibility: Yes
Cache: 0 KB
Reading possibility: Yes
CD: -R, -RW
DVD: -R, -RW
CD-TAO, CD-SAO, DVD-DAO

In the apple shop:

8x superDrive
(DVD±R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW

My Situation: I want to burn a DL-DVD 6.5GB CDR-Type image with Toast Titanium 9.02

My Problem all the time, even with disk ultility also, but just with DL:

On 50 procent burning he stops with:

The Recorder signs an error:

Sense Key = Hardware Error
Sense Code = 0x44
INTERNAL TARGET FAILURE

And when i click ok:

The Recorder signs an error:
Sense Key = Medium Error
Sense Code=0x73, 0x03

Then when i click again ok, he try to write the lead out then again:

The Recorder signs an error:
Sense Key = Medium Error
Sense Code=0x73, 0x03

i click 2 times ok, everytime after click:

The Recorder signs an error:
Sense Key = Medium Error
Sense Code=0x73, 0x03

then he comes in normal toast window and ejects the DL DVD!!

Can somebody help me out of this problem? Pleace help me with this issue, thanks.

I do pram with command+option+p+r and rebooted

Witch gave me this:

And i used again a DL, its all the time the same type Samsung Pleomax 8.5GB and i hoped it will work now...

But is still the same error like above... am frustrated! What can i do...

PS: At least it shows again the DL on my system profiler...

Ok i managed to burn the .cdr image to Verbatim DVD+R 8x DL.

And i found the reason why this has breaked onto 50% of burning before.

Simple: Or all the 4 * DVD DL whas defect, or SAMSUNG PLEOMAX DVD DL 4X were incombatible with my MAC BURNER!

This whas the reason!!!

I will go to the shop where i buyed the burnable DVD's and will make a shothing disaster!!!
