Flashing Help Viewer

Hi

Couldn't find this in the archive !

A friend has just purchased a 15" MacBook. It's
running 10.4.5

It has this very funny problem...

When you view the Mac Help (i.e. with the Help Viewer)
and select the "Work Smart, Play Hard" link, the Help
Viewer window flashes continuously and rapidly ! If you
click fast enough you can get a hold of one of the links....

No other link on the main page of the Mac Help casues this
problem, nor any other help page that I have tried so far.

Bizarre. I've tried removing the Caches in ~/Library to no
avail....

cheers
Zag

Try trashing these preference files;

com.apple.help.plist
com.apple.helpviewer.plist

bob

thanks for suggestion, but it doesn't help either. The
really odd thing is that it appears only on this one
link/page...

cheers

Look in user/library/caches

clear out the Hep caches.

Bob

I had already tried that (see first post). It did not help...
It's almost like the actual content is corrupt.

Maybe trash the Help app and replace it from the 10.4 disc.
