Unhappy The application Safari has unexpectantly quit

I get the message "The application Safari has unexpectantly quit" message, whenever I attempt to start it up. Its happened to me since I downloaded the new version of quicktime. I've used Apple Disk Utility, Diskwarrior and Norton to take care of other issues, but so far haven't been able to get Safari surfin again.

Has anyone else had this happen? Any work arounds?

I haven't had Safari quit on me yet. Not once. At all. And I use it all the time.

My tip is to trash the safari-folder:
~/Library/Safari

Haven't had any problems with Safari after installing QT 6.1 though.

Go to user/library/preferences and delete the file com.apple.Safari.plist. That will fix your problem It did for me with the same problem.

It was deleting the "Bookmarks.plist" in ~/library/safari that did it for me.

Mine crashed too when i turned some fonts off, Safari doesn't play nice with fonts. If I open certain fonts, it takes them as default. I can turn them off one by one and it will switch from one to another.
