    Picture folders

I am operating 10.4 tiger and had a question regarding importing pics. After I import my pics from my digital each pic is put into a folder in HD called "Roll 1", "Roll 2", etc on down. What is the easiest way to consolidate these pictures into a single folder or category?

Use the Help menu in iPhoto and learn about Keywords and Smart folders. The pictures are physically in the folder /Users/YourUserName folder/iPhoto Library. However it is not smart to play with this folder if you want to keep iPhoto running without complaints.

I read about that and I know how to organize within iphoto, but i want to organize into different folders so if i want to upload in myspace.com i don't have to go thru "roll" folders organized by time of when the pictures were taken. Does that make sense?

Rather than take chances messing with the finder library, why not just export the photos form within iPhoto to a folder on your desktop, then go to myspace or whatever and upload from there? Really not a good idea to mess with the folders in finder. Can create all manner of havoc with your photos. Trust me, been there, done that! Not good!

Its just kind of a hassle to export after the photos have already been imported. I wish they could just import directly into that folder from my digital. I guess I am just being lazy.
