| os install disks I recently bought an ibook: g3, 600mhz, 640mb, 15gig hd, airport card... The book came with ibook disks of os 10.1.2 and os 9.2.1. I have a g4 cube I bought second hand so I don't have any install disks for it. I want to put a new hard drive into the cube. Does anyone know if I can install os 9.2.1 onto the ibook and install os 10.1.2 onto the cube. Both os disks came with the ibook. I don't want the copyright police to knock down my door. Thanks for any help. |

| well, if the os 10.1.2 will install on the cube, it will be ok, as long as its not installed on the ibook. the license allows you to have it installed on one mac at a time. so if you have 2 os install disks, and each is on different macs, then your ok. i would then upgrade it to 10.1.5 from apple's site as soon as you can. that will give you limited compatibility with some apps. but most require 10.2.3 or higher. i'd try to find at least a 10.3 cd and install that if you want to use os x. but what ever you do, have fun!
