Uninstalling Abiword?

Does anyone know of the steps required to fully remove Abiword for OSX? My sister is having a bit of a nightmare doing so. She lives 3 hours away, so I can't go over to investigate further:

She has:
Mac Mini G4
OSX Tiger (up to date I think)

I'm not quite sure which version of Abiword she has, (silly of me to forget to ask), but it would have been the latest version about 5 months ago.

Many thanks.

If it's the Mac OS X version, then I believe it's just a drag-and-drop. If it was installed by dragging from the disk image it came in to the Applications folder, then all you need to do to "uninstall" it is drag the Abiword icon from the Applications folder to the Trash and empty it. Simple as that.

I've found that uninstallers often just won't remove every file of the app that you want removed from your system.
I discovered Easy Find: http://macupdate.com/info.php/id/11076. It will find every last file of any app or folder in your system. It gives you a list of ALL pertinent files/folders which you can then easily remove.
You might try using an uninstaller, and then run Easy Find
to see if there are any files that still remain.

Just removing the AbiWord.app file should be enough. There may be an "AbiSuite" or ".AbiSuite" file in the user's directory that stores settings and custom dictionaries (AbiWord.Profile and custom.dic) as well as settings for any plugins, but that should be harmless to leave there and easy to find if you really want to.

Hope this helps! Please report any problems to http://bugzilla.abisource.com/
