    Palm Desktop 4.0 question

My dad just bought a palm pilot 130. I'm wondering how this Palm Desktop software is supposed to work.

I installed it and restarted per it's instructions.
Did a hotsync from the palm to the computer.
No errors occured and I can find the backed up files in /Users/me/Documents/Palm/Users/me/Backup

BUT, when I launch the Palm Desktop software, none of the addresses show up in the addresses window.

Is this supposed to happen? Shouldn't all my addresses be in there?

I also tried adding a new address using the Palm Desktop app and then hotsyncing with the palm. The new address shows up on the computer, but doesn't show up on the palm.

I'm at a loss as to what's going on here...

So, should all the addresses show up in Palm Desktop like I think?

Make sure that the Palm Desktop software is set to the user account of the Palm - "HotSync... Users..". I've had this happen, and IIRC, it had created a "Default" account, and had chosen that for the desktop, while syncing my personal account seperately. Chose the right account, and all my data showed up.

The right account is selected in the drop down box at the top right in Palm Desktop.

I've read about other people having problems with this software too, so I don't think I'm alone.
