    Please Help !!!??? Osx I Cant Accsess A Web Site ?

    Hi Hope You Can Help
    I Have A G4 Powerbook With Tiger On, I Have Tried Accsessing A Web Site Called Hi 5 But I Cant ?? I Have Been Having Some Problems With Downloading Things Do You Think This Is Why ?
    Even On Google It Wont ?? I Have Tried Safari Explorer, And Firefox But It Just Wont Load The Site ???? Just Keeps Spinning And Waiting Forever Till It Times Out..
    Any Help Would Be So Appriciated

    IT SAYS THIS WHEN IT TIMES OUT ON SAFARI

    Safari can’t open the page “http://www.hi5.com/default.html”. The error was: “lost network connection” (NSURLErrorDomain:-1005) Please choose Report Bug to Apple from the Safari menu, note the error number, and describe what you did before you saw this message.

    Check in System PReferences-->Network. Make sure you have the DNS nameserver entries that your ISP is supposed to give you.
    • Apple iMac G5 17" (2 GHz G5) - Mac OS X 10.5.8/Ubuntu 10.04

    Did you try the link above, it worked for me while yours did not. Maybe the page is not called default.html anymore?

    You need to contact your ISP and have them provide you with their DNS nameserver IP addresses. Once they give you that, put those addresses in the DNS section of the TCP/IP section of the Network settings in System Preferences.

    Im having the same problem and its nothing to do with macs or os x. Its BT!!! They have blacklisted hi5.com!! no chance of it working if your on bt broadband unless they un-blacklist it.

    Next alternative - myspace.com
