| IMAP restore I did a silly thing - tried to move mailstore to new location without stopping service first therefore I corrupted my database. Used reconstruct from http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=107996, but now my most important imap account is refreshed, but messages & mailboxes for it are somewhere in imap.old, is there a way to retrieve them? I daren't try putting the various parts of imap.old back in case I just make things worse. I download mailbfr - but not a lot of use when I've already done the reconstruct regards |

| Why not delete the new IMAP files (/home/library/mail/mac-yourname etc). Then rename the old IMAP file by removing ".old" suffix. Reboot and then use mailbfr to try and retireve your mail from this renamed IMAP file. Forward any mail retrieved to another email account (e.g. Hotmail). Also make a list of your old mailboxes. Then using the instructions from article ttp://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=107996 reconstruct again. Once up and running with a new IMAP account, download your mail from your other e-mail account and rebuild your mailboxes.
