| ok, So I used a program to help "make my computer more efficient" which screwed a bunch of things up... so now I want to reset the OS to what it was when i purchased the computer. However my Mac office software, as well as a couple prgrams that i need for my field are not with me and i will not be able to aquire them for some time, so i was hoping that there was some way to make the OS X disc's but without wiping all of my extra programs. |

| You can do an archive and install when you go to reinstall which will keep all your user data and settings. Most programs will continue to work and Office is one of them. Some that won't work are ones that install things in System folders like background processes. You can reinstall those ones later on though.
