| Any simple software or widget that I can download to shut my monitor down? Just a simple buttom I need to shut it down, because I cant shut it on my iMac. Dont give me System rpeferences tips, please, because I already did the Energy Saver configuration. Now I only ask if someone knows a widget or a software to shut the screen down. Thanks a lot...

| I do not believe there is a way to completely power off the monitor in an iMac without completely powering off the computer as well. I think the best you're going to get is adjusting the length of time for the monitor to sleep itself.

| The closest that you can get to instant monitor off is to press the power button once, but this will also put your computer to sleep.
