    Looking for PDF writing software

Other than Acrobat Standard or Professional, I'm looking for a PDF writer where I can fill out forms from other people's PDF's such as college applications. I don't want to have to use the typewriter. Any suggestions? I've found several for PC's but none for mac.

Do you want to fill our pdf forms, that is pdfs with embedded fields that you can fill out or do you just want to print text on the top of a random pdf document?

If the former, the newest Preview will work (kinda). In the case of the latter I just stick them in omnigraffle and add text on top.

The free Acrobat Reader should do the trick, as long as the docs you are referring to have been set up with entry fields.
