Here It Is--Screenshot of Phantom Text!
A-ha! It did it again and I was able to take a quick screenshot of the "phantom text." Now, keep in mind, this was taken AFTER I closed iChat. The phantom text that you see in the screenshot says "Buddy List" from when iChat was up and running. After I closed the app, the phantom text appeared over my other active windows and apps, as you can see from the image.
Any thoughts on what this might be and what's causing it?RIP iBook G4.

Well, it's a software thing..
I haven't heard of this problem, but you could always try basic things - Onyx, repair permissions, repair disk, delete preferences (CoreGraphics?), the usual.
Just something to do until someone knowledgeable shows up.Power to Burn.
