iLife won't install

Hi all,

I updated the new versions of iMovie, iTunes and iPhoto from the web. However, I just bought iLife so I could have iDVD 3, but I'm getting the message:

"There are newer versions of some of the software packages in "applications" already installed on the volume "Macbeth"

This software does not allow older versions to be installed on top of newer versions."

I've tried moving my programs, putting them in trash and am now trying to completely removing them from the system. Is this possible? How does one un-install under os x? Has anyone else had this problem?

Thanks,

Aaron

I think you have to log in as the original administrator user - if you are using another account, switch to the admin.

Trash the newer versions of iTunes, iPhoto and iMovie and the Reciepts for them;

Library>Reciepts

Then you'll be able to install from the CD.
