| Front Row on MacPro Does anyone know of a DUMMIES GUIDE to get this great software to run on a MacPro?? and do you for sure need a remote control.... I wouldn't mind purchasing one if I knew for sure that it would work. I have tried a few methods... editing system .plist files and it never seems to work... plus I keep getting errors about having to have InfraRed on my machine... which I don't have. Am I wasting my time here and should I just forget about trying to get this cool looking feature to work... please post any comments or experiences you've had with trying to get Front Row to run on a MacPro. |

| i have a g5, and it is possible to run front row in this machine, the key access is command+esc. however, to use the remote, you do NEED infrared. however, it is not in any way supported to install it, and last i heard, the sites hosting ways of installing it dissappeared, presumably with cease and dessist orders. and to be honest, without a remote, it's pretty useless. i got bored playing with it after a few minutes. it's not that good...

| There's software that enables it, and it's still out there, but I don't know if we can post that kind of stuff.. *cough* google *cough*. The things I see are PPC things, so you may run into issues. Is Front Row really worth the problems/trouble it may cause you?
