    MS Entourage or Mac Email?

I recently switched to MAC and purchased MS Entourage wanting to continue with the MS Office environment. However, I've been frustrated with how many spinning beach balls I get when doing nothing more than switching between screens in Entourage. It seems to run extremely slow on my MacBook Pro, with 2gigs of RAM. Is it possible that Entourage is not currently optimized to run native with the new Intel chips? Has anyone compared the speed of Mac Mail to Entourage? Any thoughts are appreciated.

I'm sure the more knowledgeable on the list will correct me if I'm wrong, but my understanding is that the entire Office suite is not yet optimized for intel based macs. Which means Entourage is NOT optimized yet.
When I first switched to Mac, I went with Entourage. However, about three months ago, I moved over to Mail, and love it. Yes, there are more features in Entourage, but for most people, Mail plus Calendar are more than adequate for day to day use.

You're probably experiencing some sort of font problem with your Entourage, or you have too many emails/attachments in your Microsoft User Data.

Do you have a lot of fonts on your computer? If so, consider managing them not with the included FontBook but with Linotype FontExplorer instead: http://www.linotype/fontexplorer
