Epson C88 not responding to ilife suite

This is an odd one.. I just replaced my basic Epson C84 printer with a basic C88. I have deleted all traces of the C84 and sucessfully installed the C88 and set it as the default.
The printer works beautifully for all of my "non-mac" software i.e. word, excel, photoshop....However it will NOT print from ilife programs such as Mail, iphoto or itunes! The job is processed, the printer starts to make its little sound and that's it. There is no error message or code. It just says "job stopped".
I just spent 45 minutes on the phone with the very helpful tech-support guy at Epson. We re-installed the driver, reset the printer information in utilities as well as system prefrences and page set-up for each program. He was just as baffled as I am. Any ideas? Thank you inn advance!
