Command-F trouble. Help!

When I hit Command-F the finder relauches and the search window doesn't appear...
Is there any way to solve this?

Thanks,
Pedro

Repair permissions and reboot. Does it still happen? Trash the Finder's preferences file from your Library and relogin. If it _still_ happens, I'd say a 3rd party utility or app is interfering.
