Qfxz is on a distinguished road
iPhoto quits & will not reinstall, message says cannot find valid iPhoto in applicati

iMac G5 PPC, 1.8GHz, 512 RAM, 10.4.8

I start iPhoto, the wheel spins while 'loading photos' is displayed, a few (?) minutes later the 'unexpectantly quits' message appears. I went to Apple for the update to iPhoto 6.0, when installing the message comes back that there is not a valid iPhoto in my applications to install onto.
I have the 10.4 install dvds for this machine. Can I reinstall iPhoto by itself? If so, which dvd is it on? I did not find it when I control/clicked to open 'show package contents'.
I do not want to install the entire 10.4 OS just to get iPhoto

Thanks for any help on this subject.

John
