| Unix executable file I run adobe pagemaker 7.0 on a Mac powerbook G-4 OS 10.4.9 with classic environment. I copied files to a flash drive and was working off it when the mac suddenly didn't recognize the files. I used Boomerang to recover the files. They are now on my desk top but are all listed as unix executable files. Cannot find an application to open them. I need simple if possible. Thanks for your help. Kalicat |

| If it's PageMaker files, you need either PageMaker or InDesign to open them. The documents probably lost their old-style metadata through the transfer with the memory stick. Files that OS X doesn't recognise are often dubbed "Unix executable files". Doesn't mean they really _are_ Unix executable files. If they were PageMaker docs before, then they still are now. Simply (?) open them with an appropriate DTP application that can open/import PageMaker files.
