How can I install X11

How can I install just X11 from the mac book pro Install dics?

When I insert the disc it only allows me to re-install or clean install the entire osx software. I can't uncheck the system and have just the X11 checked.

I need this software installed so that I can run a few shareware programs that people recommended to me on here.

Is X11 available for download?

It is on the install disk- did you try looking at the disk with the OS loaded? Pop it in you machine and see if you can find it. I went through this not to long ago but don't remember how I did it exatcly. You can't download it from apple.com- it's just an update. Good luck.

DeltaMac will become famous soon enough
No, xCode is the developer tools.
Run the Optional Installs.mkpg
You will see x11 under Applications.
