Log files

I recently deleted a bunch of files, and emptied the trash. I need to see a list of the files that were deleted, but I can't find this in the system logs. Is there a log file that contains this information?

Unfortunately, there's no log kept of when the Trash was emptied or what was in it when it was emptied.
