The Intel chipset/logic boards used by Apple do not have a BIOS at all, only EFI.
Apple has not yet supplied any means to directly access the EFI, although I suppose the boot manager (booting while holding the Option key) could be an exception to this.
Since the advent of Boot Camp, changes to the firmware provide what is termed 'legacy BIOS support' so that operating systems that need a BIOS to load, such as Windows XP, will boot.
So, in answer to your question, you can't access the EFI, yet.
