Screenshot not working

I am unable to get the screenshot procedure to work on my admin account. Cmd-shift-3 or -4 do not place any picture on my desktop. It works fine with my standard account. Cmd-Ctrl-shift-3 and -4 do place the image into the clipboard of the admin account, however. How would I fix this problem?

Do you have any programs on this account that could hijack the screenshot process? Like Snapz Pro ...

OnyX might be able to force the screenshots to get where you want them (and the format for them). I'd try that as the first thing.

Thanks. I found the answer. I deleted com.apple.screencapture.plist and restarted the computer, on someone's advice, and it fixed the problem.
