Angry Word and Memory/Save/Printer problems

Hi All.
I have several users including myself who are experiencing trouble with MS Word v.x 10.1.2. It seems to me it is a memory leak and the symptoms, like in the subject, are first, you get a message telling you to Add a Printer if you want to print. Of course, the printer IS there. The next thing to happen is that when you try to save your document, Word tells you that either there is no memory, or a network volume is not available and it then refuses to save anywhere. If i did not know how to recover from this error (select all, cut, quit Word and all other apps, re-launch Word, paste into new doc, save as...), I would have had at least 6 or more Lawyers/Secretaries on my back because they just lost a 50 page Answer to a Compalint.
MS Tech Support has indentified it as a memory leak. Their suggestion for now is to quit the program after every 2-3 docs and re-launch. They also recommended 10.2.3, not 10.2.4 and maybe add in the 10.1.3 Word Updater released recently for Language problems (even tho the tech said it had nothing to do with this problem).
Has anyone else seen this? They said a lot of Students were seeing this as they tend to leave the Word app running for hours, even days as they write thesis, etc... and then they can't save their work.

Any other help here would be great.

Specs of 'most' of our systems are Imacs (350-600MHz) and a handfull of g4's. All have 10.2.3 clean installed and MS Office v.x 10.1.3, 256 MB or better and 12GB or better storage. Other apps running are iChat, QuickMail Pro, and some use Palm or Now Up to Date/Contact.

Thanks all, great site. Hope I can help some here as well.

Mikey
