Numbers '08 and time

Can Numbers handle time?

I have a sheet made in Excel 2004 I liked to move to Numbers. I use it to keep track of my office hours. For each day, I add date, time I come to work, time I leave and the sheet count how long I have been at work. Then I add how much I will report. Catch is, I can report only to half hours, so I keep track how much more (or less) I actually we. So for example

Arrive: 7:55
Leave 16:04
Time: 8:09
Report: 7:30
extra: 0:09

If you ask why I tell only 7:30 instead of 8:00, the lunch is assumed to last 0:30.
I add the extras together, and when the will be over 0:30, I report 8:00 etc.

Ok, the Excel sheet works fine, but when I moved it to Numbers, instead of 8:09, it showed something like 0.334. So it seems it cannot count time. Actually, it seems 7:55 is stored as 26-oct-2007 7:55; which explains the 0.334 .

But so, how can I calculate times on Numbers??
