    Installing OS X Problems

I tried installing 10.1.5 on my powerbook g4 500, and i got kernal errors. It is the cd that came with my Imac. Is this somekind of copyright protection? It just will not boot up the cd. Has anyone else had this problem?

The Cd that came with the iMac shouldn't work on another machine.

Why not? It's all OS X.
