Hidden folders in OSX Leopard

For some reason I am unable to see the default Documents folder under /Users/<username>. I can see the alias in my side bar and by "Getting Info" on the alias I can see that it points to /Users/<username>. Any ideas on how I can unhide this folder. If i look in Terminal i see the following permissions where my username and group are correct:

drwx------@ 32 user group 1088 29 Nov 11:54 Documents

I'm worried about the @ in the permissions. Could this be what is hiding the folder.

Any help would by really appreciated.

Thanks.
