Can anyone help!? I've just loaded mac OSX 10.5.1 onto my Powerbook G4, and I've lost my Epson Stylus Colour 860 printer driver? I've gone into the Print & Fax Pref's to add a printer, but there are no printers listed? I've also looked on the Epson printer drivers to download and there doesn't seem to be any to support any OS later than 9? Any ideas, please please, please! cheers Jonathan.

Epson Printer Drivers There are open source drivers available. Gimp-print and usbtb. See: http://sourceforge.net/projects/gimp-print/ and http://buymelunch.org/printing/usbtb/ The gimp-print/gutenprint packages include a terminal script that allows you to do the “Printer Utilities” checks via the terminal. I hope this helps. Bob Q.

No OS X 10.5 drivers are available from Epson.com for the Stylus Color 860 which is what the OP was asking about. I have wrestled with this issue for quite some time - particularly the lack of a Printer Utility for this printer - but these open source solutions are a somewhat helpful solution. BQ
