I just upgraded my powerbook to OSX Leopard. I made a clean install on my computer HD and all of my iphoto files are on an external now. How do I set up iPhoto on the new operating system and have it recognize all of my albums and photos from an external (I'm trying to save HD space.)? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

If your entire iPhoto library is on the external hard drive, it's easy. Press "option" while opening iPhoto, click "Choose library..." select the one on the external HD, and you're done.

One more question... When I import photos from my camera, how I get them to directly import to my external drive or will that happen automatically if I'm already running my library from an external HD?

It will treat whatever library you choose as your default library, so they will automatically go there.
