Locked out of my IMac

I had to reinstall OS X 10.5 and now I can not remember my password to get past the blue screen where it ask for the password. I have tired holding the command and the S key and restarting the computer. That did not do anything at all. Is there a way to find my out my password or to rest the password. I found a site on Apple that allowed me to send my information to my .Mac account but I can not locate that site again. Please Help
