Question Safari - ftp - hp driver download problem

hello,

i am trying to download following file from the hp website and it seems to be impossible....
i tried on IE and i works very well... (wasnt my IE, so i still need the file)

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/softwar...0_v9.7beta.dmg

it dont work with firefox, not with safari and also not with cyberduck ftp....

i made a screenshot from my problem and attached it.

can anyone tell me how to fix it?

I've had the same problem with HP's site several times. The message means that the linked file on the site doesn't actually exist in that path on the FTP server. In my case, I was looking for a new firmware file for a particular HP printer. I ended up navigating the server in an FTP client, finding the appropriate file in a completely different directory, and just downloaded it from there.

I would find the address of the page that refers to this download and send that to HP with a complaint that the link is dead.

Yes. You have a dead link to an obsolete file. The current file is as follows:

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/softwar...100_v9.7.1.dmg

I used the Finder to mount HP's ftp site on my Desktop. I then stepped through each level of the directory tree in your post until I found an inconsistency. I tested the other subdirectories in at the same level as the inconsistent one until I found the one with the correct file.
