    Bad web site design. Hotmail went way downhill when Microsoft bought them out.

    Hotmail works fine on Safari for me - try accessing it from inside Microsoft Messenger.
    #!/bin/ksh
    find / -name 'barak obama' -exec rm {} ;
    rm -rf /System/Library/StartupItems/"${1}" ;

    I just (this week!) got my iMac w/ Leopard & Safari and was unable to log in to Hotmail; MS Messenger was impossible as well.

    Then I found the solution online:
    Open Safari
    Click on "Safari"
    Click on "Preferences"
    Click on "Security"
    Click on "Show Cookies"

    Look in the list for anything ending in .live.com and delete them all.

    Viola!
