Login to system problems

I was using itunes and went to purchase a song. itunes shut down unexpectedly and wouldnt start back up. so i proceeded to shut down the computer to reboot. when i restarted it did not go to the regular login screen but the blue background screen and then it asked for name and password. i tried the user name i had used before and the password, it would not let me login at all after multiple tries. what do i do?

First make sure the caps lock isn't on. Also try plugging the keyboard into a different port.

Boot to your install CD and go to the Menu where you can select 'Change Password'.
