antivirus on admin and non admin account

Hello everybody! I asked this question to the techs, but I like seeing what other users have to say.

Ok, I just migrated to mac three days ago. I confess I am somewhat obsessed with security so, after reading hundreds of forums, I decided to follow the advice given so I went ahead and installed Clam Xav on my new macbook.

Then I followed the advice and set up a non admin account to run on regurlarly. Now, I noticed that the antivirus (and everything else I did while running on the admin account for that matter) only shows when I log in with that account. Now, for example, I am running on the standard account and neither the antivirus nor the other documents, pics, downloads, etc, I did with the admin account shows.

So my questions are:

1) can I access the things I did with one account from the other without having to log out and then log back in?

2) if the clam xav only shows with the account I downloaded it with, does it mean that the antivirus only works with that account? I hope not. I would think that It's also protecting me while running on my standard account.

Anyway, thanks in advance for your replies.
