Garageband - Not all Loops are on computer

Hey there friends,

I've just started using the Garageband application and I've noticed that not all the apple loops that it shows in it's browser are in my computer. And most of the loops that are actually on my computer don't show up in garageband's browser. I have to go searching for them and then drag them in.

Whenever I try and use one of the loops that aren't on my computer it tells me that I need to do a software update. Whenever I do the software update it tells me my computer is up to date.

I'm debating on whether to just reinstall it using the install disc. I'm scared to do that because it says I might lose important files and I have a lot of files on my computer already.

if anyone out there has a safer way to go about fixing my Garageband or if someone knows it won't delete my files, it would be really appreciated if you would let me know. thanks!

-Jordan
