| My computer didn't come out in 2001, it came out in 1999. It's not a PowerBook, it's a G4 tower machine: http://lowendmac.com/ppc/yikes-power-mac-g4-pci.html There's nothing wrong with my G4. It does not support the "Startup Manager" (ie, holding 'option' at boot) functionality. That was introduced in the first AGP-based G4 systems and some early iMacs. Holding 'X' and '9' only work if OS X and OS 9 are installed on the same physical volume. Mine are not.
