| iPhoto pictures have moved... My complete photo library has disappeared from iPhoto (version 1.1.1). However the pictures (over 900 of them) are still in Home / Pictures / Library. My problem is I don't know how to get them back into iPhoto... At the moment my iPhoto library page looks like this. The left hand side lists the names I had given my files/folders but there are no photos whatsoever visible alongside. The heading (Photo Library) is dimmed and the total number of photos I had before is shown. However as soon as I click on the Library file to the left of the screen, the total number of photos changes to 0. I'm not confident enough to move anything without some guidance and wondered if anyone on here is familiar with iphoto to advise what to do next. |

| It may help to rebuild the iPhoto library. Make a backup of your iPhoto database first (just copy it to your Desktop or something), then open iPhoto while holding option and command. Keep them held down until you are prompted to rebuild the library, then do so. http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=107947

| ElDiabloConCaca - I wasn't sure if this would work for my version of iphoto (1.1.1) but I followed the steps as best I could. Although I wasn't prompted to build a library, I did manage to complete the rest of the steps until the point I was asked to move the photos found in the search to iphoto. At this point iphoto just quits. I tried twice - same result. Is there maybe a basic problem with my iphoto software - is it corrupted or something? Or am I not being patient enough to be able to complete this? |
