Errors with some programs on Mac OS (Premiere)..

Hi all,

I have some issue with Premiere CS3 on my macbook pro (with latest version of Max OS) -
It worked OK until some day it suddenly gave me this error:

"[/Buffy/pro/3.0/Libraries/UIFramework/Make/Mac/../../Src/BitmapDB.cpp-122]"

Since then it doesn't even open!

Same goes for another software called Xilisoft Video Convertor with the following error:

"The application Xilisoft Video Convertor quit unexpectedly ... Mac OS and other applications are not affected."

I believe those programs are ok (I tried reinstalling, doesn't change anything) so I tend to think the problem is either with Mac OS or I have no idea.

Do you guys have any idea what can be the cause and more importantly how to solve it?

(I need those programs)

Assumptions are very welcome too!

Thanks all!

kabey

Have you repaired permissions yet? Apps/Utilities/Disk Utility/Repair Permissions. Could be as simple as running that simple maintenance function.

doesn't work

Hi

Thanks Natobasso but it's still not working.

I noted I use "Max OS Extended (journaled)". I have no idea which OS that is nor I have any understanding in Mac OS's, but I thought it might be worth writing it for those who do.

Any other ideas?

Quite important, you could even suggest that I switch to another OS but
something that has a chance because I'm new to Mac as well as this computer I'm working on

Thanks..

Download the CS3 Clean UP script and run it then install CS 3 again.
