iPodRip Quits/Beachball Won't Go Away!

Hello again. I believe my iPodRip problems started after I mistakenly
disconnected my iPod before the "Do Not Disconnect" warning went away.
All of the over 3,500 music files seem to be OK. My problem is when I
launch iPodRip, I get a message saying that the application suddenly quit.
It ask what I was doing at the time the problem occurred. Problem is that
because of this continuous "SPINNING BEACHBALL" that appears, I can't
respond to the message or do anything while this FROZEN dialog box
is there. I then end up FORCE QUITTING each & every time. I've heeded
your previous suggestion (Repair Permissions on HD). I haven't trashed my
iPodRip yet, but did download another iPodRip with the same results. A
trial version of "TouchCopy" would not see the iPod and Sentui didn't
respond either. Also, "DebugPod" that is suggested from iPodRip support,
I don't understand where to "MOUNT THE DebugPod disk image" as
suggested. Does it mount on the HD in "applications" or directly on the
iPod. PLEASE NOTE: I DON NOT WANT TO PUT 3,500 MUSIC FILES AT
RISK. As you might wonder, I am very, very nervous about all of this.
HELP NEEDED SO BAD. THANKS ONCE AGAIN.

ED

Have you been using iPodRip before this successfully? Repairing permissions probably won't help much in this situation, but you can try to reset the application by deleting its preference file. More info on that here:

I'm not really sure what you're saying - does the iPod mount, or are you just having trouble using these programs?
