Migration Assistant & Paritioned HD

I'm trying to transfer all my data from an old G4 to a new iMAC. The G4 has a partitioned HD. When using Migration Assistant (using the G4 in target mode connected via firewire), I only see one partition —the wrong one— and the Assistant gives me an error over and over.
