10.4 on ibook G3?

I have an old ibook G3 that runs 10.2 and would like to run my 10.4 from my macbook pro on it. Would the install disks that came with the macbook work being it uses intel processors? If so are there steps i need to take to get it to work? ... the i book has 867 mghz, 256mb and 40GB

The install disks for the macbook pro are made for that computer specifically so no, I don't think that's going to work.

As for putting 10.4 on the G3 ibook, it's recommended to have at least 512MB to run it somewhat smoothly, more if you want better performance.

Do you have the 12 or 15" model?
