Firefox hangs when trying to attach file

I'm using Firefox 2.0.0.13 on my iMac, and I cannot attach files to e-mails. Once I click the "Browse" button Firefox hangs. This will also happen at any site where I choose to use "Browse" to upload files as well. I do not have this problem with Safari, but I've been using Firefox for a long time, and this is the first time I've had an issue with it.

This is not a general Firefox problem. What is your email service?
