keychain nightmare

I just switched to OS X and the keychain will not accept my password, even after I re-enter it into my account info, which has a message that my keychange would change to the confirmation. Still it's say's password is wrong, I'm losing my mind over these hideous security codes.

Are you the administrator of the Mac (System Preferences->Accounts)? If you just bought the Mac then it should have Leopard on it, right?

You can reset the master password by taking your OS X install disk and when the CD first boots up go to the finder menu and launch 'Reset Master Password'. After you do that also launch Disk Utility and Repair Permissions. This should fix the problem.
