problem with harddisc

please i need your help.
i tried to format my ibook g4 osx 10.4
but i couldnt found the hardisc.
i try iy many times, but it doesnt work.
i format the disc with i system i dont now.
can you help me, please
i am now in libya, and there is no shop where i can buy osx 10.5 dvd
is there a site to download it.
