Google blank in all my browsers

Hi folks,
Don't know if this is a Mac issue or an ISP one, but thought I'd try asking here as the Google support page is not helping much.

I suddenly stopped being able to use Google.com. If I try to access the homepage, I just get a blank, and if I use the Google toolbar, it leads to a blank search results page. The search string appears ok in the address bar (eg: http://www.google.com/search?q=googl...ient=firefox-a), but the page is blank. I live in Argentina, and have the same problem with .com & and .com.ar.

I'm running Tiger (10.4.11), and I have the same problem with Safari, Firefox and <shudder> Internet Explorer. We get the same problem on the iBook which runs 10.3.9. Bizarrely, if I go through a Proxy, I c_a_n access Google, which leads me to suppose it might be a problem with my ISP as they are capable of being bastards, but I thought I'd ask here in case it rings a bell for anyone.

Thanks in advance,

'hay

Wow! It's not a complete fix, but thanks to simbalala for his post on the "sorry.google" thread. His http://72.14.207.99/ link works fine, and I've bookmarked it. It'd be nice to fix the toolbar and know from whence the problem comes, but it's great to have Google just a click away once more.

Again, thanks

I set up a bookmark (and a keyboard shortcut) to http://72.14.207.99/ because I'm using OpenDNS and they redirect Google through their servers. It's not for a bad reason, they're countering Dell and some others who do their own redirection.

But you'll notice when using OpenDNS that using the IP address takes you to Google quicker than simply http://google.com will. It also takes you to a different Google entry page.

Here are links to the OpenDNS Blog post and forum thread:

it certainly is quicker! will set up a kb shortcut in the morning when i'm less fuzzy, and more likely to remember it.
