| DVD not detected i have a IDE Sony DVD RW DW-Q120A. It does not get detected in Leo--neither pre-installation nor post-installation----also tried a friend's Sony DW-G120A----which works in his Leo but not mine. However, all DVD RW do work with IDE to USB. Any solutions for this problem? Thanks in advance. |

| this is our email communication: Hi, Am 23.04.2008 um 08:51 schrieb Rounak Jain: Intel DG33FB motherboard Intel Core 2 Duo CPU E6550 2.33 GHz Graphic/Video Card: Nvidia GeForce 8600 GT Sound Card: Realtek Audio ALC888 RAM : Transcend DDR2 2 GB DVD-RW: Sony DW-Q120A (IDE) Hard-disk: two SATA HDD Your hardware configuration doesn't look like its original from Apple, is it? Keep in mind: Leopard only work correctly on original Apple hardware. But you may check the jumper settings on the writer. It has to be set to "CS" (cable select). It may work then. | That sounds about as far as we're gonna go, then. Discussions of Mac OS X running on non-Apple hardware is, unfortunately, prohibited here because it's against Apple's Mac OS X EULA. I would recommend doing as Chris said in the email -- beyond that, I don't know what else to suggest.
