Time machine

The time machine back up on my 2.16 Imac shows only the files saved to the desktop. All the other machines on the time capsule show the drives applications and users. ( Old 1.25 iMac, G4 powerbook and Macbook pro)
It does not report a fault and the rest of the oftware seems o be working - I just cant see all of the files

Where did I go wrong?
